Daniela & Bliss (FL)
Daniela
Daniela is a Tribal Fusion Belly dance artist known
for mixing delicate, feminine sensibilities with an impressive display
of core strength and muscle isolation. Like many, she began her training in
traditional Egyptian, Turkish, and American Cabaret styles, traveling
as far as Egypt to study and perform with some of the world?s greatest
dancers. As she expanded her practice to include Tribal, Modern, and
Fusion styles, Daniela developed her own technique, coined Tribal
Femme Fusion. Maintaining the fluidity and grace of traditional belly
dance while introducing some Modern, Hip Hop and Tribal flair, she has
created a new, imaginative, and thoroughly captivating performance
style. She teaches regular classes and workshops throughout the US and
is founder and choreographer of Hip-Notic Dance Company based out of
Florida.

Bliss
Bliss is one of the most sought after b-boy artists on the East Coast.
Originally from Jamaica Queens NY, Bliss moved down to Orlando where
he lived for about 4 to 5 years then moved to Miami to pursue a career
in dance. Bliss is a choreographer and instructor, he teaches hip hop,
popping, locking, and break dancing throughout the US. Just recently
he has been collaborating with Daniela creating something never done
before in the dance community. They are a dynamic fusion duo of belly
dance and hip-hop, breaking boundaries and exploring all aspects of
dance. Daniela and Bliss hope to continue to perform and teach
together as a duet throughout the nation.

Workshop with Daniela

Saturday August 30th 2008
Isolations and Undulations:

This 90 min workshop is designed to concentrate on strengthening the
abdomen for undulations. Students will also be working on the hard
versus soft muscle contractions in not only the stomach but the upper
body and hips. This is also termed ?popping and locking? in the Belly
dance world. Learn how to make your movements excruciatingly smooth
and defined and then create variations by locking them in different
areas. Students will also be introduced to engaging the diaphragm and
separating the different sections of your abdomen to create that
creepy inhuman looking undulation!
