self as a teacher or professional performer).NOTE! this
category is to a live band only, provided by the MBC. You will
need to choose your song in advanced, before the competition
day.
New Raks Sharki Star (soloist to your music cd): ( 2
or more yrs. exp. Does not perform for money on a regular basis and does not
teach. Non-professionals. Middle Eastern music only).NOTE!There
will be points penalty if you use non-Middle Eastern Music in this category.
Professional Raks Sharki group: (3
or more dancers) .
Middle Eastern music only. Promotes or advertises group as
professional performing company.NOTE! this
category is to your own music cd, 5 min time limit. There will
be point penalty if you use non-Middle Eastern Music in this category.
Criteria: Our
guest judges will be 6 to 8 of our guest artists for the 2009
Miami Bellydance Convention. Judges will judge in 3 main categories(Performance,
Choreography, and execution ) with a total of 100 points.
Participants MUST
remain on stage during the entire performance!
