Saida (Verónica Helou) is the daughter of Sirian parents, born in Argentina. Although she has been awarded her degree of Analyst in Advertising Communication by Palermo University, she never developed such profession on account of her deep interest in dance both in professional and teaching areas.
Since 1983 until 1991 she studied classical dance with very well-known teachers in this discipline such as: Olga Ferri, Enrique Lomi, Rina Valver and Ricardo Rivas.
As from 1991 onwards she started showing her interest in Bellydance, both in its artistic and folkloric scopes with the Master Amir Thaleb (Director of the Arabian Dance Company). During more than ten years, she was the first dancer of this prestigious company as well as the partenaire of the Master Amir Thaleb; she performed countless shows in the most famous theaters in Argentina, diplomatic events and those related to the arab culture. In the year 2000, Saida performed a presentation as part of the company at the Guzmán Theater in the city of Miami, together with the Middle Eastern Dance Exchange of the first dancer Tamalyn Dallal, with the show Infinito, directed by Amir Thaleb.
Throughout her career, Saida has performed her shows in the most remarkable hotels, restaurants, theaters, malls, cultural centers, theme parks, television and radio programs as well as in diplomatic events.     
In 1994 she created her own Bellydance Academy, presently counting with more than 700 students obtaining a complete training in both teaching and professional levels. As from the year 2000, she started her activity at the international level, and she started to be called by different countries to deliver her workshops together with the musician and composer Mario Kirlis. United States, Mexico, Peru, Panama, Chile, Bolivia, Colombia, Paraguay, Brasil, Venezuela and Spain, among others, have welcomed them with great affection and admiration.     
In the year 2002, Saida created the Bellydance Ballet Rakkasah, made up of students belonging to her academy who have been trained and carefully selected by her Director. Rakkasah Ballet counts with a great acknowledgement on the part of  an audience expert in this field. Since then, they perform their periodic shows in Buenos Aires and in the interior of the country.
Among Saida’s theater tours, those performed as from the year 2003 until nowadays should be considered as the most remarkable ones, with the Arabian Nights Show, directed and produced by Mario Kirlis. On these tours, Saida has been joined by different dancers such as Maiada, Shanan, Sarat and Yamila Ali, having visited numerous cities of Colombia and Peru.
The event took place in Valencia and Madrid, where during four days dance courses were given, as well as conferences, rhythmics courses and theater performances. Bellyrium 2005 counted with the participation of students and professional dancers in the whole Spain. As from the beginning of 2006, Saida took part again in Bellyrium in Valencia, Spain, sharing this important event with the great Bellydance figures of Jillina and Amar Gamal, with the music of the Master Mario Kirlis.

During the years 2003, 2005 and 2006, Saida was called to take part in the international events organized by Luxor Academies in Brasil. During these events, she shared the stage with great Masters such as Yousry Sharif, Raquia Hassan, Mahmoud Redda, Randa Kamel, Jillina and many others.
In the year 2004, the Bellydance Superstars produced by Miles Copeland (producer of Sting, The Police and R.E.M.) called Saida to take part of that group, leaving on an important tour throughout all United States during the months of October and November of 2004. This company is the most important one at the international level in its type and her  tours are performed worldwide. She also appeared on the cover of the Superstars’ Volume 3 CD having recommended the New Baladi musical piece of Mario Kirlis, included in this collection.
In August of the year 2005, Saida’s first instructive DVD appeared on the international market, where she is joined by the Master Mario Kirlis. In October of 2005, Saida was called by Miles Copeland to take part in the recording process of the Bellydance Superstas Volume 2 DVD and in a new DVD instructive material together with the well-known dancers Amar Gamal, Bozenka and Sonia, in the city of Monaco.
In February of the year 2007, Saida left on an important tour for South Korea, where she delivered six workshops and made three performances in the cities of Busan, Daegu, Jeju Island and Ian Pon in Seoul, together with Mario Kirlis and his orchestra.
Throughout the same year, she also travelled to different countries such as Italy, Venezuela, Mexico, Brasil, Ecuador, Colombia, Taiwan and Russia, so as to continue with her teaching and performance work.
In May 2007, she also organized together with Mario Kirlis her first international seminar in Argentina, having called the Superstar Amar Gamal. This event joined 300 Argentinian and foreign students, which capacity was sold out in only 20 days.
For the present year 2008, she already has commitments in Venezuela, Italy, Spain, Korea, Brasil, Slovenia, Russia, Siberia and Chile.

In may 2007, she also organized together with Mario Kirlis her first international seminar im argentina having called the Superstar Amar Gamal. This event joined 300 Argentinian and foreign students which capacity was sold out in only 20 days.
For the present year 2008, she already has commitments in Venezuela, Italy, Spain, Korea, Brasil, Slovenia, Russia, Siberia and Chile.
