has been performing and teaching at the most prominent Bellydance
Festivals, seminars, and productions in the world where she has been
presented across 5 continents including an annual invitation to teach
and perform in Cairo, Egypt!
Virginia’s innovative musicality and deeply rooted Egyptian technique
is areflection ofher extensive dance and musical background. Widely
admired as a protégé of Mr.Yousry Sharif, (E.A.O.D.

years to study with legendary masters of the art to retain the essence of
pure Oriental Dance while continually broadening her unique style so she

form. These legends include (from Egypt), Mahmoud Reda (Reda Troupe),
Farida Fahmy (Reda Troupe), Raquia Hassan, Dina, Tito, Nagua Fuad, Amir
Thaleb (Argentina), and many more.
Authentic in her style, Virginia has been featured internationally in film,
publications, theatre, and television, including MTV. She has performed
for celebrities and notable government officials such as Jim Belushi, Alonzo
Mourning, Lil Kim, the Saudi Arabian Royal Family, Ambassadors and
Ministers of Culture from many Middle Eastern countries, has toured
with Egyptian singer Mustafa Amar, opened for Dina and has taught alongside
all of the aforementioned legends.
She has produced several theatrical productions which have received rave
reviews from legends in the dance and have toured most recently off Broadway
in NewYork City as well as Paris, Dallas, and Argentina. Mahmoud

Virginia is the director of Wa Nour Al Ayun her professional performing
company and founder of C.O.M.E. Dance (Coalition of Middle Eastern
Dance & Arts)
an educational establishment dedicated to excellence in performance, instruction,
and representation of Middle Eastern Dance in Miami, Florida. Invited
by Florida State University, Virginia has taught, choreographed, and performed
several times for their Master in Fine Arts and FSU Dance Sarasota programs. Known
for her generosity as an instructor, Virginia’s new series of teaching
DVD’s, Bellydance One on One, have garnered excellent reviews from
students and teachers alike.
